WebXpress is a web based document management system architected to store and access documents of any type and provide custom designed Business Process Flow. WebXpress provides a standard web interface that encapsulates the extensive feature/functionality available to the user community. WebXpress functionality utilizes many of the established conventions used in ecommerce Websites while adhering to all existing standards required by demanding corporate clients.

WebXpress is capable of processing a myriad of different input data types such as Microsoft Office objects, Scanned Images (any format), Text, 3211, or complex data streams (AFP, XEROX, PostScript, etc..). Output is primarily delivered back to the web browser in a PDF format but can be sent back in native form if desired - (Text, Tiff, Word, Excel, etc).

Common Functionality includes:

Ø       Utilizes a Web Browser interface for querying data and viewing documents

Ø       Links any document to related documents in the same or other applications

Ø       Provides ability to add reference notes at the document level

Ø       Enables aggregation of associated documents into a single PDF output file

Ø       Provides control to limit secure access by application specific user permissions

Ø       Provides secure access within applications at numerous predefined levels

Ø       Allows for remote administration of users and access levels

Ø       Provides Index data export feature - based on query search criteria

The architecture of the system is built on Microsoft's web based .NET and ASP frameworks. WebXpress utilizes a three tiered architectural approach that enhances the ability to distinguish between the User I/F, Business Logic, and Data Store. This infrastructure approach allows for easy modification and customization of any component at any level required. Each piece can be individually modified to meet the customization required for a particular application or solution. The system allows for the use of any SQL based backend database engine for managing index information.

The WebXpress document storage and retrieval engine provides a fully scalable and secured environment for all documents (See ABT Network diagram). The creation of the output PDF files is dynamic and allows for numerous features such as:

Ø       Lower storage overhead

Ø       On the fly merging of form overlay and data

Ø       Ability for adding additional security to the delivered PDF (Right2View)

Ø       Aggregation of documents

Ø       Ability to page thru large document or jump to a particular page within a document

Business Process Flow:

Unlike any other competitive offering, WebXpress is “brewed fresh” for each customer. Other competitors charge substantial and usurious Professional Services Fees to reconstruct existing and complex code content already paid for many times over by previous customers. WebXpress, on the other hand utilizes an extensive inventory of Business Process Flow components that are assembled and tailored to exactly match client application specifications.  This design approach eliminates the burden of excessive, upfront, capital intensive Professional Service Fees with fixed, predictable, subscription fees.

Offline Archiving with WebXpress Lite :

WebXpress Lite is a twin version of ABT Vault's WebXpress that can be run on your local workstations or servers. WebXpress Lite is media independent and can be run from CD, DVD, Hard Drive or Memory Stick. WebXpress Lite can also be copied to and executed from a local or network drive. WebXpress Lite is compatible with all operating systems that can run a Java virtual machine 1.4 or higher. While running WebXpress Lite, multiple users can access the WebXpress Lite application browser from the local Intranet. Although WebXpress Lite is labeled "Lite", WebXpress Lite is a full blown scaleable version of WebXpress that uses Model View Control design and the latest in Java Web Application technology.
